Auckland Zoo

As Auckland Zoo’s Head of Zoo Environment, Design & Construction I am responsible for our capital design and construction projects, asset and facility management, horticulture, security and the implementation of sustainable practices that promote and reflect the zoo’s mission and core values. A part of my role includes serving as Project Director for delivery of the $60 million renewal of the zoo’s South East Asian Precinct (SEAP) that shall serve zoo staff and the broader community for the next 50 years. Hanging Gardens
“Luke and SRS have been involved in the design and installation of a number of Hanging Gardens projects and it has been an absolute pleasure working with him and his team.

Anzor
“SRS Group have completed a number of successful projects for Anzor Stainless Fasteners Limited including;
(I) MeshNet Balustrading at the new Anzor Distribution Centre,
(ii) Fabrication of a 50 metre stainless steel tubular frame and “V” Wire infill Balustrade at the new Anzor Distribution Centre,
(iii) Installation of several MeshNet and stainless steel wire Foliage Walls against Concrete, Timber and Hollow Stone Block walls,
(iv) Installation of Catenary Lighting systems,
(v) Design and installation of stainless steel “V” wire and Vertical wire Balustrade and Screen systems in timber and stainless steel frames.

Barrowcliffe Bridge Project
“I had the opportunity to work with the SRS Group NZ Ltd on two different jobs, such as the SH16 Waima-Haslett Footbridge handrail extension project and the SH20 Barrowcliffe Road Bridge Anti-Throw Screen installation project.
“At both jobs, we have worked together from the design stage all the way to the on-site finishing touches. During these works, I was able to observe a high-level proficiency about the details and the quality of the finished product was excellent. Working nighttime, within a traffic closure on the motorway network is always challenging and the team handled it very well.
